A world-renowned Reproductive Urologist, Academician and Master Microsurgeon, deeply committed to advancing male fertility and sexual health. As the founder and director of The Turek Clinic in Beverly Hills and San Francisco, I work alongside a dedicated team focused on improving male reproductive health through innovation and patient-centered care. With over 200 publications and several dozen grants, including a SBIR-NIH grant to create man-made sperm from stem cells (the artificial testicle), my career has been shaped by an innovative clinical practice and groundbreaking research. My work in male fertility has led to innovations like Sperm Mapping, a technique I developed to treat severe male infertility. I’ve had the honor of popularizing the No-Scalpel Vasectomy, a minimally invasive procedure that has significantly improved patient outcomes and have some of the highest published success rates for Vasectomy Reversal Procedures. But I would have to say that I am most proud of my founding contributions to the Fertility as BioMarker of Health movement that now has worldwide acceptance. In addition to my clinic and research, I’m actively engaged in the medical device and biotech sectors, working to bring new technologies and solutions to the forefront of male health. One example of this is my leading a clinical trial that shuttled the testis implant through FDA approval. As a retired Endowed Chair Professor at the University of California, San Francisco, and through ongoing advisory work with the NIH and the CDC I have the experience and skillset to lead and execute on such projects. To more broadly extend my influence, I host the Talk with Turek, a podcast dedicated to educating and raising awareness about male fertility and sexual health. Through this platform, I seek to provide valuable insight and foster important conversation around men’s health issues that are often taboo or overlooked. My goal is simple: to improve the landscape of men’s health. Every day, I strive to push the boundaries of what’s possible in male sexual and reproductive health and help men live healthier, more fulfilling lives. Looking forward to connecting and continuing to push things forward!
